The under 16s have been in action at home over successive weekends and have maintained their impressive form.

The team welcomed back Emma for this fixture, and Matthew Martin made his debut. Larry’s new shoes also made their poolside debut. Luke was team captain and the home side started the match defending the deep end. A strong start for Warrington, with goals from Conor, Dom, Emma, Brett and Dan, and only conceding one in the first quarter. Dom scored a pen and Dan from a back-hand shot. Good all-round performance and the quarter ends 11-1. In the second quarter, the Warrington team dominated with goals from Conor, Dom, Brett, Dan and Matthew scoring his first for the team. Some superb defensive work from Emma, Eleanor and Katie. The score at 17-1 by the end of the quarter. The third quarter starts and the visiting Radcliffe team send a shot over the bar and defend well, but the hosts continue to dominate, with goals from Ben, Conor, Dom, Eleanor (pen) and Brett. Their lead is consolidated to a surely insurmountable 27-1. There is a change for the final quarter, with regular goal-keeper Luke swapping hats with Eleanor. Radcliffe get a penalty, but Eleanor saves it. Goals from Luke, Ben, Brett and Dan, against some good defending and the visitors take the last shot of the match in the final seconds, but hit the post. The match ended 33-1. The hosts dominated but the visitors fought hard to the final whistle.

Ben is team captain, and the hosts defend the deep-end; regular goal-keeper Luke is not available, so Eleanor steps in. Goals from Dom, Dan and Conor get the home-side off to a comfortable start with the score at 6-0, Eleanor keeping a clean sheet in goal. Dom scored with a bounce-shot, and Conor takes a shot as the buzzer goes - it hits the back of the net but no goal given. The second quarter starts with a Chester attack, but they run out of time; Ben takes a back-hand shot but it hits the post. Katie, Emma and Ben score; Eleanor saves a penalty. Some good, clean passing; Alfie hit the post and Louis has a shot saved. The quarter ends with the score at 9-1. Dan gets the third quarter going with a brace and Emily is superb in defence. Brett gets a knock to the head, but goes on to swim up with the ball to assist Dom. Goals from Dom, Dan, Katie and Conor. Chester score a superb goal in the final seconds, the quarter ends with the score at 18-3. The final quarter starts with a goal from Dom; at the other end Eleanor sends the ball long, but it lands behind Emma, unseen and Chester gain possession. They attack but Eleanor saves the shot. Goals from Dom, Dan, Ben and Louis before the final minute. However after the bell, Chester seize their opportunity and Warrington let them score twice before the final whistle. The match ends with the score at 22-6. The hosts were less consistent this week and got punished by the visitors when concentration slipped; with a large squad there was a lot of team-rotation.
