The Warrington Swimming and Water Polo Club aims to teach swimming in a safe, child friendly environment, to develop children’s water skills and introduce them to appropriate development and competitive pathways, including young people volunteering in sport, so that swimming and its other disciplines provides a life-long skill that is fun and supports a healthy lifestyle.
Where we train?
The Club is now open for all sessions. Trials are now being held for those swimmers on the waiting list. There is a long waiting list for the Swim Academy- it make take several months before space becomes available. Why not volunteer and help?
Our swimming sessions are held at Orford Jubilee Park, on Jubilee Way, Warrington (behind the Decathalon store) Great Sankey and Woolston .

The next gala is for individual swimmers

In the short term, we will not be doing any team entries to galas. Individuals can still enter a gala, but the parent/guardian will be responsible for making sure they have safe supervision at the event, and that they have requested Swim Compete Swim England registration when this is required by the gala entry conditions. If you need help then contact one of the head coaches Alan or Angie.
Club championships will now take place around March each year . Entry forms will be available early in the new year. The winners and those placed will receive their medals at the Presentation Evening held after the Championships around June

Summer Break for Swimming
Our last Livewire Swimming session before the summer break will be at Orford on Wednesday 15th July 2026.
Our last Swim session at Great Sankey will be on Friday 10th July 2026.
Swim sessions will recommence in early September
Whilst Woolston is closed for repairs and maintenance we are holding our Friday session at Great Sankey 7-8pm.
MEMBERSHIP
Please note that due to high demand there is a waiting list for swim lane trials and for beginners. Once registered for “ Request a Trial” the membership secretary will put you on the waiting list. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOW HOLDING TRIALS FOR THE MAIN POOL.. THERE IS A WAITING LIST FOR THE SWIM ACADEMY UNTIL CAPACITY COMES AVAILABLE
