Welcome back everyone! We hope you've all had a fantastic summer. A special welcome to all our new Academy members and families joining us this season. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

⚠️ Important Notice - Orford Pool Closure

Due to essential works at Orford Leisure Centre, the pool will be closed on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September.

Unfortunately, this means: 

❌ Saturday Water Polo sessions are cancelled

❌ Sunday Swimming sessions are cancelled

 

This is completely outside of the club's control, and we only received notification of the closure this week. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

✅ All other sessions are running as normal.

 

⏰ As we start the new season, please ensure swimmers:

 • Arrive poolside on time

* Have all the correct equipment (goggles, hat, water bottle, etc.)

* Are ready to start when their session begins

🏃 Sunday 20th September - Warrington Running Festival

 

Swimming sessions will run as normal, but there may be road closures and traffic delays depending on where you're travelling from. Please allow extra time for your journey.

Welcome Back

Welcome back everyone! 🏊‍♀️🤽‍♂️

We hope you've all had a fantastic summer and are looking forward to getting back in the pool.

First sessions back:

Water Polo: Wednesday 2 September at Orford

U13: 7-8pm

U15/U17: 8-9pm

Swimming: Friday 4 September

Important Wednesday timetable change from 8 September

Due to the temporary closure of Broomfields and changes to accommodate Masters swimming, our Wednesday sessions will be:

🏊 Swimming: 7-8pm

🤽 Water Polo (U13, U15 & U17): 8-9pm

Please note that U13 players can now attend the 8-9pm water polo session while the small pool remains closed.

Remember: Water polo is included in your club membership, so if you'd like to give it a try, come along on a Wednesday! We also encourage all water polo players to attend swimming regularly to develop their fitness and skills.

Hope you all had a good Christmas and looking forward to swimming and playing again

Our first session back is on Wednesday 7th January 2026.for both Swimming and Water Polo. Livewire sessions will then continue as normal with swimming at Great Sankey on Tuesday and Friday and Orford on Sunday and Wednesday,

Water Polo is at Orford on Saturday and Wednesdays

Our first Water Polo session at Lymm will be on Monday 12th January.

Christmas Break

CHRISTMAS BREAK

Our last Livewire Swimming and Water Polo session will be on Wednesday 17th December at Orford

with the first session back on Wednesday 7th January 2026.

Our last Swim session at Great Sankey will be Tuesday 16th December with the first session back on Friday 9th January 2026.

Our last Water Polo session at Lymm will be Monday 15th December with the first session back on Monday 12th January.

Orford Small Pool Closure

The small pool at Orford has been closed due a failure of the moveable floor, so all water polo sessions from 7pm-8pm on a Wednesday will not take place until this is fixed. For the first week at least, Sunday October 20th we have moved both our Sunday sessions to Woolston so that we can continue to offer sessions in the small and main pool.

Wednesday sessions in the main pool for swimming and water polo will carry on as normal. Will provide an update once we know the timescales for the small pool at Orford to be back in operation
