Emily Bowater made a great start to her 2014 season with a bronze medal in the Inter Regional under 15 Championships held in Walsall. Ten teams entered the competition which included teams from Ireland, Wales and Scotland. North West region entered two teams and Emily played for the Lighting Team. In the group games North West had convincing wins over East Midlands, South West, Scotland and Ireland. In the semi-finals the North West were beaten 4-2 by the eventual winners North East.
In the bronze medal play off North West beat south West 4-3. North West Thunder made it to the final but were beaten 5-6 by North east. Emily has come a long way since she passed her level 8 water polo badge in June 2012!
