Total Swimming Session for over 16s

Message: To whom it may concern, I am writing to you on behalf of Total Swimming. Total Swimming is the UK’s leading events company in swimming. This year we are delivering an event nationwide on behalf of and sponsored by Speedo International and Decathlon. One of our events is happening close to you. The event is aimed at increasing participation in swimming and other water sports. The venue  of the event and date it will take place is still to be confirmed by all partners involved and I will inform you of this as soon as  it is confirmed.  We would like to offer you a certain number of reserved places to join us for one of our FREE event sessions. The  only cost for the event is that we ask  all participants to sign up for a free Decathlon card (there is no cost to do this but it is a request from the sponsor that must be adhered to). Swimmers must be over the age of 16 on the day of the event and there is no maximum age. Each session lasts 2 hours and participants will be in the water for up to an hour and a half, receiving top level coaching and using up to date Speedo products to develop their swimming ability and understand how they can get more out of  swimming by using Speedo equipment. Participants will use Speedo equipment to develop their ability of swimming, no matter what stage they are. We ask that all participants can confidently swim 50m prior to the event. Also present at the event will be 2 Olympic athletes from water based events. Participants will get the chance to meet the athletes, talk to and get advice from the athletes and also receive the opportunity to get something signed and have a group photograph. Media will also be present at the event for press, coverage and event promotion for future events so it is compulsory that all participants are able/are happy for photography to take place during the event and we must receive consent for this. I hope this is of interest to your club and I look forward to liaising this amazing opportunity that we are fortunate enough to offer you. If you would like more information or to discuss further then please supply me with a contact number that I can liaise with as soon as possible to guarantee your places as the event is definitely going to fill up quick! Look forward to hearing from you, Thank you

Message from the Head Coach

Hi All

I would first of all like to thank all the coaching staff who have made my first 6 months very enjoyable indeed and also all team managers, helpers and life guards who have assisted in helping with the club , we have come a long way in just a short time and I believe we are on the right path to gain success in the swimming field.

Also a big thank you to all the swimmers who have competed and those who turn up for all the sessions and put dedication in to their training , we have finished the National Arena League in 7th Place and reach the finals , also the B&D mini league final and now our new challenge is the Merseyside and District Swimming League.

Training starts again on the 2nd of Jan 2014 and I want full discipline and dedication to the training as our goal as a club is to win the M and D , as we are currently lying 2nd after the first gala and the next test is the 18th Jan at Connah’s Quay , were we need a full team to progress in this league.

Again thanks to everyone ,

Merry Christmas and a Successful 2014

Shaun Woodward (MIOS/FIOS)
